According to a press release by OSP the driver of the Mercury Cougar has been identified as Robbin Wilson (56) of Monroe.
The pedestrian that was struck and killed has been identified as Megan Thornton (34).
ORGINLA STORY
Junction City (Lane County) – A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on HWY 99 near Junction city.
A few minutes before 11 PM on October 25th, a Mercury Cougar driven by an adult female was traveling northbound when it hit an adult female pedestrian.
The female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female pedestrian has yet to be identified by investigators. The driver of the Mercury Cougar was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
Highway 99W was partially closed for about 4 hours following the crash.
