San Luis Obispo County, California (Paso Robles, CA) – On Tuesday night, March 14, an individual died at the site of an automobile collision. The operator of one of the automobiles was apprehended following the crash Paso Robles, CA.
The alcohol was thought to have been a factor in the wrong-way accident, which happened about 11:18 p.m. northbound lanes of Highway 101, north of Wellsona Road. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Alvaro AlvizoDiaz, 33-year-old of Ventura was driving east on Wellsona Road when he went south into Highway 101.
He was heading at about 65 mph in his 2020 Nissan Sentra when he collided with an incoming car operated by Isaldo ArellanoSantiago, 38-year-old of Oxnard. ArellanoSantiago was declared deceased on the spot while driving a 2000 Ford F-150. According to officers, AlvizoDiaz suffered serious injuries and was brought to the hospital before being detained.
A passenger in his car was examined for pain on the spot but declined to be sent to the hospital.
