New numbers show that the roads in Oregon are getting more dangerous with a 4% increase of deaths from car crashes in 2019.
New data from the National Safety Council shows an increase in car accident deaths between 2018 and 2019 nationwide.
According to their data, 489 people were killed in car accidents in Oregon, a 4% increase from 2018. While the nation as a whole say a 2% decrease in car crash deaths in 2019.
These numbers are alarming, especially when a state goes against the national trends. As residents of Oregon we all need to take the charge to be a more attentive driver and follow the rules of the road to protect ourselves and those around us.
