Los Angeles County, California (Pomona, CA) – On April 18, 2022, authorities had already identified the victim in a fatal two-car accident on the 60 freeway.
According to authorities, the incident happened about 2:05 a.m., close to eastbound freeway. Based on initial reports, a 2019 Honda Civic rear-ended a 2013 Toyota Camry from where Schmidt was riding with the other victim.
Schmidt and the female driver were declared dead on the spot, but the driver’s details are not yet available. The operator of the Camry, identified as 24-year-old Ryan Sanchez, suffered mild injuries and was hospitalized.
The street was closed in both directions for an undetermined period of time to allow for cleanup and preparatory responsibilities, however it has already been restored.
