Malheur County, Oregon (OR) – On April 14, 2026, Oregon State Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash in Malheur County, OR.
According to the preliminary investigation, a gray Honda Accord, driven by Rohit Ror, 27-year-old, of Fresno, California, was traveling southbound near Jordan Valley when it crossed into the northbound lane for unknown reasons. The Honda collided head-on with a northbound silver Dodge Ram towing a utility trailer, operated by Gary Albert Diederich, 74-year-old, of Greencreek, Idaho.
Ror was pronounced deceased at the scene. Despite lifesaving efforts by a passing motorist, Diederich also died at the scene. The highway remained open during the on-scene investigation.
OSP was assisted by EMS and thanked a passing motorist.
