Los Angeles County, California (Hawthorne, CA) – On January 8, 2023, a vehicle hit a boy and a man which caused the death of a minor and injuring a man in Hawthorne, CA.
The incident occurred at about 8:35 p.m. between the intersection of El Segundo Boulevard and Truro Avenue. Authorities say, a man along with a boy and a girl were walking the street after leaving a local laundromat when they were hit by a car moving east on El Segundo Boulevard.
The boy is said to be between 12 or 13-year-old, he succumbed from his injuries while the man was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not give further details whether the victims were related. As authorities examined the collision, clothes were left sprawled across the roadway.
The motorist stayed at the site and is assisting with the inquiry.
