Los Angeles County, California (Sherman Oaks, CA) – On June 18, 2025, one person was killed and three others were injured after a car slammed into a parked moving van in Sherman Oaks, CA.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a 12-year-old boy sitting in the front passenger seat of a Lexus sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said the Lexus collided with the rear of the truck, which pierced the passenger side of the car.
Three others, including the boy’s mother—who was driving the car—and his 10-year-old brother, were taken to the hospital. Fire officials noted that a fourth person was transported for medical reasons unrelated to the crash.
Police said the lack of skid marks suggests the driver may not have seen the truck in time to avoid it.
