Kern County, California (Arvin, CA) – On November 22, 2025, a passenger was killed and a driver seriously injured in an off-road vehicle crash in Arvin, CA.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:35 p.m. on November 22, 2025. Officers were dispatched to Rockpile Road, south of Buena Vista Boulevard, after receiving a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a 2017 Can-Am UTV. Investigators said a 20-year-old woman was operating the vehicle, with a male passenger of unknown age in the right-front seat.
CHP reported the Can-Am was heading south on Rockpile Road at a high, yet undetermined, speed when it suddenly veered southwest and left the roadway. The right side of the UTV collided with an almond tree, then continued moving until the left side hit a second almond tree. The vehicle ultimately came to rest upright, facing west and pressed against the tree.
The driver suffered major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical. The passenger died at the scene. CHP confirmed there were no additional occupants in the vehicle.
