Ventura County, California (CA) – On December 3, 2025, a pick-up truck accident killed a 23-year-old man in Ventura County, CA.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 9:50 p.m., when two pickup trucks collided on the highway roughly midway between Oxnard and Camarillo.
Investigators believe the 23-year-old driver of a Toyota Tacoma veered into the opposite lane, where it struck a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by a 47-year-old man. Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital. The Tacoma driver was pronounced dead shortly after arriving, while the Silverado driver sustained serious injuries; his current condition has not been released. Authorities have not yet released the identities of either individual. Highway 34 remained shut down for several hours as crews cleared the scene and investigators began their work. Officials have not yet determined whether speed, alcohol, or drugs contributed to the crash.
