Salt Lake County, Utah (West Valley, UT) – On March 3, 2026, a teenage girl died, and four other people were injured in an overturned crash in West Valley, UT.
Nine Cyprus High School students had left school and were heading east on a dirt road section of 4100 South, just west of 8400 West, just after noon, West Valley police said. The SUV they were in rolled over, and a 15-year-old girl was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Four other students in the car were taken to the hospital for injuries. Another four students in the car were not hurt in the crash, police said. The driver, a 16-year-old boy, was among those hospitalized but later released, according to police. Police did not disclose the other injured teens’ conditions as of late Tuesday. All of the teens in the vehicle were said to be between the ages of 15-year-old and 17-year old, according to police.
The crash is under investigation
