Fresno County, California (CA) – On March 11, 2026, a woman tragically lost her life following a devastating two-vehicle crash in Fresno County, CA.
The crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. at Highway 180 and Old Oak Road near Dunlap. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Tesla driver crossed into oncoming traffic and collided almost head-on with a Kia Soul. The impact forced the Kia down an embankment. Its driver, a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the crash is being treated as a possible DUI case. “At this point in time we believe drugs are a factor and the driver of the Tesla has been placed under arrest,” said CHP Sgt. Jarrod Banta. Authorities also reported that a female passenger in her 20s and two children under the age of five were inside the Tesla. All three were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved as the investigation remains ongoing.
