Napa County, California (Yountvelle, CA) – On March 28, 2026, three women killed in a three-vehicle crash in Yountvelle, CA.
On Monday, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Vivian Bertolino, 65-year-old, and Linda Wolters, 62-year-old, both of American Canyon, and Katrina Clarke, 65-year-old, of Sacramento. Investigators said the crash occurred near Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars when the driver of a Mitsubishi sideswiped an oncoming BMW SUV. CHP Officer Marc Renspurger said the collision apparently caused the driver to lose control, cross into the northbound lane, and crash head-on into a Toyota Prius. Bertolino and Wolters were in the Mitsubishi, while Clarke was riding in the Prius.
The Mitsubishi driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and has a prior record that includes drug possession and traffic-related offenses. CHP is urging drivers to slow down on Silverado Trail, where serious crashes have become increasingly common.
The driver remains hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
