Salt Lake County, Utah (South Salt Lake, UT) – On May 9, 2026, a motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after colliding with an SUV in South Salt lake, UT.
The crash happened near 3390 State Street when the rider was traveling southbound and a Chevrolet Tahoe entered the roadway. Investigators said the Tahoe struck the motorcycle, ejecting the rider from the bike.
Officers with the South Salt Lake Police Department responded to the scene around 9:45 p.m. and provided aid before the victim was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition. Police said the Tahoe driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
State Street was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
