Yamhill County, Oregon (McMinnville, OR) – On September 2, 2023, an individual was critically injured in a head-on collision involving a motorcycle and a Mazda in McMinnville, OR.
Investigators determined that around 3:45 a.m., on 2nd Street, motorcycle rider Jacob Stetzel, 32-year-old was probably speeding around the bend close to Star Mill Road when he collided with the front of an approaching Mazda.
The collision sent the McMinnville resident flying into the air for nearly 70 feet before causing him to slide 17 feet to the ground. According to officials, he was airlifted to a hospital in Portland for treatment of extremely significant wounds. Investigators utilized a search warrant to obtain a blood sample once he arrived at the hospital to establish whether or not he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. That test outcomes have not yet been made public. Documents in court: Tillamook police chief charged with stealing drugs and cash from evidence locker Jonathan Spence, 27-year-old the Mazda’s driver, was later detained for DUII. He gave a breath sample at the Yamhill County Jail, and it revealed a.03% blood alcohol level. Spence was released after receiving a citation to appear in court.
According to officials, neither Spence nor his 31-year-old passenger suffered any injuries. The accident happened near McMinnville Police Department on opposite street.
