Baja California Sur, Mexico (MX) – On June 16, 2022, two actors from the Netflix series “The Chosen One” were killed in a vehicle accident while travelling in a van near Mulegé on the Baja California Sur peninsula. Two more cast members and four production staff members were hurt in the event. All six are still in good health.
A source connected to the production verified that the incident did not happen on set. The cast and crew were on their way from Santa Rosalia to the airport. The incident investigation is still ongoing.
Raymundo Garduo Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar were the two actors killed in the incident. On Friday, the Baja California Department of Culture confirmed the identities to the Associated Press. According to the local press, the vehicle flipped after veering off the road into a desolate location on Thursday.
