2020 in Review
December 22, 2020
2020 was certainly not the year anyone expected, but despite its challenges we were able to stick to our mission of providing honest care, clear advice, and a smart approach to the legal process. Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by the devastating events of 2020, particularly those whose lives have been forever changed due to the fires and all those feeling the impact of COVID-19 on their lives, communities, and businesses. Although COVID-19 has impacted many small businesses, our investments in technology have allowed us to continue to work both in and out of the office with little interruption to our services. While the court system has been almost at a standstill, we have continued to settle cases outside of court. In 2020, we successfully settled over 500 cases for personal injury victims, allowing them to get compensation for their injuries. 2020 saw three new members join our team. At the beginning of the year, Cy Rivera Neeley joined our team, bringing our total number of attorneys to 5. Later in the year, we added Shelby Goodman as a paralegal and Maribel Barajas as a case manager. Cy, Shelby, and Maribel are all dedicated to ensuring each client gets the care they need and deserve. Thanks to all of you for allowing us to continue doing what we love.

Baker County, Oregon (OR) - On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, an accident closed the roadway while road crews removed a truck that was carrying a wind turbine tower along I-84 in eastern Oregon, Baker County, OR.

According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, the crash occurred between Baker City and Ontario, near milepost 332. The agency has blocked I-84 eastbound just outside La Grande, and all lanes of the roadway from Exit 304 north of Baker City to Exit 374, three miles west of Ontario.

U.S. 30 is closed to non-local traffic and does not serve as an effective detour route for I-84.

The closures are likely to continue for several hours, according to ODOT. A huge piece of the wind turbine tower looks to be resting on the pavement after crashing through a concrete barrier.
