Jackson County, Oregon (Central Point, OR) – 6 Teens were injured and one was in critical condition following a car crashing into a tree in Central Point during lunch hour on October 26th, 2021. On October 26, 2021. All 6 were confirmed to be minors in a press release by Central Point Police Department.
The accident happened a little after 1:00pm at the intersection of Hazel and North 6th Streets. Fire District #3 and Mercy Flights medics attended the teenagers at the incident before transporting them to local hospitals for additional medical examination and treatment.
In a news statement, the Central Point Police Department stated, “The event is now under investigation to establish contributing circumstances to the collision.” “The Jackson County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) team is investigating the accident scene. Representatives from the Medford Police Department, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the Ashland Police Department, and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office make up the STAR team, which is a combined agency investigation unit.”
