San Diego County, California (San Diego, CA) – On July 13, 2023, a vehicular accident happened on San Diego’s Interstate 5 Freeway near the State Route 56 bypass in San Diego, CA.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the incident happened at around 12:08 noontime on Thursday. A white SUV occupied by a parent and their child rammed into a parked white BMW, and then it continued moving and hit more vehicles. This resulted in four more vehicles blocking all lanes of Interstate 5. One car even went off the road and another went sideways in the highway’s fast lane.
Paramedics and the fire department rushed to help those who were hurt, and multiple tow trucks were called to move the cars involved and clean up debris from the accident.
An investigation is underway to determine who is at fault.
