Santa Clara County, California (San Jose, CA) – On Wednesday afternoon, a two-car accident was reported at around 5:05 p.m. on southbound highway 101 along the Brokaw Road off-ramp.
A motorcycle was riding around 60 mph in the far left lane when another car pulled into the lane. The biker responded by moving into the lane to his right, colliding with the rear of a stopped car.
The victim was said to be in his mid-50s, he succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot. The rider’s identity will be released once it will be verified and once his family will be notified.
All southbound lanes of Highway 101 were blocked for a little more than an hour as a result of the incident, and traffic was redirected onto Highway 87.
