Orange County, California (Santa Ana, CA) – On Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023, a deadly incident occurred on First Street in Santa Ana, CA.
A woman was hit and died at around 5:55 a.m., along Iglesia de Cristo OC church west of Fairview Street. A westbound motorist hit the woman as she tried to cross First Street.
Authorities from the Santa Ana Police Department responded to the site where they discovered a female pedestrian with serious injuries in the 2800 block of First Street. Orange County Fire Authority personnel also attended and declared the unnamed woman deceased at the site. Meanwhile, the operator of the crashed car halted and worked with officers on the inquiry. Investigators do not believe drinking played a role in the collision. However, authorities are investigating the incident and will decide who is to blame for the Santa Ana pedestrian tragedy.
