San Bernardino County, California (Apple Valley, CA) – On October 12, 2021, at around 2:49 A.M. Hesperia man killed in a crash on I-15 freeway in Apple Valley.
CHP rescued a traffic incident with injuries on I-15 southbound, south of Wild Wash Road. When the officers arrived, they saw a 28-year-old Hesperia man driving a 2019 Nissan south at a fast speed. The driver of the Nissan veered off the road for unclear reasons, leading the Nissan to flip and come to rest inside the #1 and #2 lanes of I-15 southbound.
A 72-year-old man from Forest Falls, CA was riding a 2014 Toyota in the no. 2 lane at around 70 mph and could not avoid the accident. When the two cars collided, it pushed the Nissan into the first lane, right into the path of a 2019 Infinity driven by a 74-year-old Las Vegas man. The driver of the Infinity could not avoid a collision and crashed with the Nissan’s left side. Toyota’s operator suffered minor wounds, while the driver of the inifinity sustained mild injuries. Medical workers brought the latter to Barstow Community Hospital.
Alcohol and drugs did not play a role in this accident. The incident is still under investigation.
