Marion County, Oregon (Salem, OR) – On Tuesday evening, December 20, 2022, a woman died in a hit-and-run accident in Salem, OR.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Salem authorities received reports of a woman who was injured on the road on Madrona Avenue. Police responded to Madrona AV and Woodbridge CT, where they discovered evidence of a pedestrian-car collision.
Emergency crews transferred the woman, recognized as 74-year-old Linda Louise Wisher, to Salem Health, where she was declared dead. The car involved did not stay in the incident. According to an initial report by the investigation team, Wisher was walking along the 300 block of Madrona AV when she was hit by a vehicle leaving the property as she passed the driveway to an apartment complex.
The victim was pulled several hundred feet before being discovered by the driver.
