San Diego County, California (Chula Vista, CA) – On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, an AT&T worker was badly hurt when driver slams into him on South Bay street.
The incident occurred on Chula Vista Street just before 11 a.m. A 28-year-old man was traveling west on the C when he collided with a parked vehicle. The AT&T employee was standing behind the company vehicle when the red car slammed into him and then the pickup truck pulled the man forward, banging the vehicle further down the street.
The employee was pinned down beneath the vehicle involved in the accident. Officers and Firefighters went to the incident, and a local resident came over with a car jack to help elevate the car off the victim. They brought him to the hospital with critical injuries. They also brought the driver to the hospital, but his condition was unspecified.
As traffic investigators put together what transpired, C Street was closed to traffic in the local vicinity. At the moment, it is not thought that drugs or alcohol were part of the crash.
