Kern County, California (Bakersfield, CA) – On June 8, 2025, a man died after being hit by a vehicle, according to Bakersfield Police, near the intersection of Old River Road in Bakersfield, CA.
Authorities say the man was driving a silver Infiniti south on Old River Road when he lost control and hit a tree. After exiting the vehicle and entering the road, he was struck by a southbound blue Honda sedan.
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The Honda driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
