Los Angeles County, California (Los Angeles, CA) – On October 14, a car smashed into a food stand killing one and leaving 12 others injured near the intersection of West Holt Ave and Dudley Street.
Of the 12 individuals injured, three sustained fatal injuries, Officials say. A sedan hit what seems to be a cooking stove on the side of the street based on the aerial footage from NBS Los Angeles. The 26-year-old woman driver from Pomona escaped from the area but returned 75 minutes after, Pomona Officer spokesperson Aly Mejia reported to the press. Mejia had no idea how fast the vehicle was moving resulting in fatal injuries.
The accident is still under investigation late Friday. The unidentified driver was heading east side and went into the west lane of traffic before the accident happened in the food stand, based on Mejia. The man who died was not identified, and more details about him were not released Friday night.
The driver was going east and went into opposite lanes of traffic before crashing into the food stand, Mejia said.
