Los Angeles County, California (Los Angeles, CA) – On December 28, 2025, two people were taken to the hospital following a collision between a passenger vehicle and a Metro light rail train in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Raymond Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a compact car struck a Metro train traveling through the area under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Fire crews responded to the scene and examined the two individuals inside the vehicle. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though the extent of their injuries was not disclosed. Passengers aboard the train were also checked by emergency personnel and were found to be unharmed.
The collision caused significant service interruptions on Metro’s Metro E Line. Train service was temporarily suspended between the Vermont and Western stations, with bus shuttles deployed to accommodate riders traveling through the affected corridor. Authorities continue to investigate what led to the crash, and no further details have been released.
