Santa Barbara County, California (CA) – On October 28, 2022, CHP confirmed before 2 p.m. that the motorist liable for the demise of two young women was apprehended for gross vehicular killings while under the influence of alcohol.
CHP has acknowledged 19-year-old Jenna Causby and 20-year-old Dorothyann Guthrie of Lompoc as the two victims of a deadly vehicular accident on Highway 1 near Gaviota. The two were heading north on Highway 1 when a motorist in a Ford C-Max attempted to surpass slower traffic, hitting head-on into the two steerings of a Chevy Malibu.
Santa Barbara Fire Department reached the area. Upon arrival, both vehicles were burning and almost crushed in the front. As firefighters fought the flames, emergency personnel discovered those affected in the accident.
SBC Fire declared two killed in the area, another had fatal trauma and was rushed to SB Cottage Hospital.
