Sutter County, California (Yuba City, CA) – On June 2, 2024, a man was killed in a suspected DUI vehicle accident at the intersection of El Margarita Road and HWY 20 in Yuba City, CA.
A 27-year-old man died while seven people were injured. The crash occurred shortly before 8:42 p.m. Chloe Tokuno-Fraley, a 39-year-old, was driving an SUV when she passed through a stop sign and into the wrong lane on HWY 20. The vehicle was then slammed head-on by a pickup truck.
The six passengers in the pickup were sent to the hospital. Bryan Alejandro Rodriguez-Duran died and the other passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Tokuno-Fraley and a 4-year-old child in the backseat were also sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police suspect Tokuno-Fraley of driving under the influence of alcohol. An investigation is underway, and once completed, the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office may press charges.
