San Diego County, California (Miramar, CA) – On March 16, 2024, two people were killed in a three-vehicle collision, and two of the drivers were detained on suspicion of DUI on Interstate 15 north of Miramar, CA.
The Honda Civic was heading north on I-15 when it collided at around 2:45 a.m. with the rear of a Toyota 4-Runner. Honda was then hit by a Chevrolet Colorado. Two occupants of the Honda were declared dead at the scene.
Esteban Coronado, a 25-year-old, and Joseph Michael Martin, 22-year-old, were arrested in the San Diego County Jail for driving a Honda and Colorado while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office withheld the names of the deceased victims pending notification of their next of kin.
