Multnomah County, Oregon (OR) – On November 8, 2025, a suspected drunk driver collided nearly head-on with a Portland police vehicle in Portland, OR.
According to the Portland Police Bureau both officers inside and the driver were injured. Police were called to Northeast 129th Place and Northeast Halsey Street shortly after 7 p.m. for reports of a crash.
Investigators said 47-year-old Zachary Kwok Lee of Portland made a reckless turn at the intersection and struck the patrol car, forcing it into a nearby fence. Both officers were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treated for minor injuries.
Lee was also hospitalized before being booked on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol) and reckless driving.
