Lincoln County, Oregon (OR) – On July 7, 2023, at around 1:15 p.m., the Oregon State Police attended a car vs bicycle incident on Hwy-101 along milepost 125 in Lincoln County, OR.
According to preliminary findings, a white “Giant” bicycle driven by Bradley James Stark, 57-year-old of Hillsboro was heading southbound on US-101 when it collided with the side of a maroon 2020 international CMV (bunked, empty log truck) driven by Richard Eugene Wiser, 36-year-old of Newport.
Stark died as a result of his injuries and was declared dead at the site. During the on-scene reconstruction inquiry, US-101 was blocked/partially closed for roughly 4 hours after the collision.
OSP was aided by the LCPD, LCSO, and Depoe Bay Fire Department.
