Linn County, Oregon (Lebanon, OR) – On January 29, 2022, at around 10:06 AM, OSP Troopers and emergency workers assisted in a two-car accident that happened at the intersection of Highway 34 and Seven Mile Lane.
Based on the initial investigations, a Dodge Sprinter van, driven by Joshua Kumpe, 32-year-old of Lebanon, was westbound on Hwy 34 and hit a southbound Ford Escort, driven by David Weis 43-year-old of Albany.
Weis suffered critical injuries and was declared dead. An occupant of the Ford Escort, Kristina Boswell, 36-year-old of Sweet Home, was taken to a local hospital with injuries. Kumpe was unharmed.
Lebanon Fire Department and ODOT helped OSP.
