Fatal Motorcycle Accident on HWY 199 – Josephine County
August 16, 2019

Josephine County (HWY 199 Mile post 38) – Just south of Cave Junction and about an hour out of Grants Pass on HWY 199 at around 4:30 PM a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Keith Willis (58) of Cave Junction was traveling south towards the California board when he crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a silver Audi driven by Jose Ortiz Adata (25).

Willis sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Jose was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. The road was closed during the investigation of the motorcycle accident.

OR HWY 199 seems to be one the the deadliest stretches of road in all of Oregon with this being the one of many fatal car accidents this month.

If you ever find yourself in a car accident the Oregon and California car accident attorneys at Idiart Law can help you so you do not have to fight the system alone.

Baker County, Oregon (OR) - On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, an accident closed the roadway while road crews removed a truck that was carrying a wind turbine tower along I-84 in eastern Oregon, Baker County, OR.

According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, the crash occurred between Baker City and Ontario, near milepost 332. The agency has blocked I-84 eastbound just outside La Grande, and all lanes of the roadway from Exit 304 north of Baker City to Exit 374, three miles west of Ontario.

U.S. 30 is closed to non-local traffic and does not serve as an effective detour route for I-84.

The closures are likely to continue for several hours, according to ODOT. A huge piece of the wind turbine tower looks to be resting on the pavement after crashing through a concrete barrier.
