Marion County, Oregon (Salem, OR) – On January 18, 2026, a tragic single-vehicle accident left two people dead and two others injured on Turner Road in Salem, OR.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find a black Kia that had overturned. The crash resulted in the deaths of two occupants: a 16-year-old girl, whose identity has not been released, and 20-year-old Perla Nieto of Silverton.
Emergency responders worked to extricate a 24-year-old male passenger who was trapped inside the wreckage. He was subsequently transported to a hospital in Salem with serious injuries. An 8-year-old child involved in the crash was also hospitalized but is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.
As of the latest update, the Sheriff’s Office has not identified which occupant was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Investigators are continuing to examine the scene and evidence to determine the cause of the fatal rollover.
