Monterey County, California (Salinas, CA) – On December 28, 2022, authorities attended a fatal car accident between the intersection of Larkin and Victor Streets in Salinas, CA.
When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered two automobiles, a Jeep and a Honda, with notable front-end damage from a head-on incident. Angela Dyer, the Jeep’s driver, was awake and conscious with non-life threatening injuries. However, Honda’s motorist, Jesus Villanueva, suffered serious injuries and was unconscious.
Rescuers tried to save Villanueva’s life, but he died due to his injuries and died on the spot. Authorities determined that Dyer was driving under the influence of narcotics and alcohol at the time of the incident upon further investigation. She was detained and charged with felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. Dyer was arrested and taken to the Monterey County Jail.
The collision was so severe that the automobiles were discovered 30 feet away from the original accident site.
