Monterey County, California (CA) – On December 7, 2025, CHP reports that at least one person died in a two-vehicle collision in Monterey County, CA.
The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Espinosa Road, just south of Rodgers Road. CHP Monterey announced on social media that the roadway is closed in both directions between SR-183 and Christensen Road while investigators work the scene, advising drivers to steer clear of the area and use SR-156 as an alternate route. Car parts, shattered glass, and other debris were strewn across the roadway following the impact.
Authorities have not yet released information on how many people were in each vehicle or whether there were additional injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and officials have not provided a timeline for when the road will reopen.
