Clackamas County, Oregon (OR) – On January 20, 2026, a fatal head-on crash closed a portion of Highway 212 involving two residents of Boring in Clackamas County, OR.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene near milepost 4 at approximately 10:40 a.m. Oregon State Police investigators determined that a Subaru Crosstrek, driven by 67-year-old Teresa Ann Castello, was traveling eastbound when it drifted across the centerline for reasons yet to be determined.
The Subaru collided head-on with a westbound Ford Bronco driven by Ashley Elaine Pinion, a 32-year-old. Castello sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Pinion suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Traffic on the highway was disrupted for roughly two hours while OSP, assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas Fire, and ODOT, processed the scene.
