Los Angeles County, California (Harbor City, CA) – Officials announced that a reward of up to $50,000 will be given for information on a hit-and-run motorist involved in an accident that claims the life of a 4-year-old child in Harbor City late last week.
The kid was in her truck with her brother and father at about 8:20 p.m. Friday when another car did a U-turn next to them on Vermont Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway.
It caused the family’s pickup to swerve into oncoming traffic, causing it to go off the road and collide with numerous trees and a light pole. The operator of the other car continued driving without stopping to assist the family. The driver and two other children were taken to a local hospital, where the girl subsequently died.
The victim’s father and brother sustained major injuries.
Jayda Sanchez was recognized by family members. The accused’s car has been identified as a white four-door sedan.
