San Bernardino County, California (Victorville, CA) – On March 9, 2022, a multi-vehicle traffic incident resulted in no major injuries in Victorville.
It occurred at around 5:19 a.m. on March 9, 2022, near the intersection of US Highway 395 and Bear Valley Road, and included a black 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport, a black 2017 Nissan Sentra, a black Kia Soul, and a silver minivan. When Victorville City firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered four automobiles with moderate to severe damage obstructing the route.
Firefighters received early indications that one motorist was stuck, which caused them to dispatch more personnel to the scene. The operator was able to exit the vehicle, and no extrication was necessary. Two people were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries, while three additional passengers from other cars refused medical care at the site. Northbound traffic on Highway 395 and westbound traffic on Bear Valley Road were momentarily rerouted through the Shell gas station parking lot.
The incident is under investigation.
