Los Angeles County, California (Covina, CA) – On March 18, 2026, a violent multi-vehicle crash was linked to a domestic violence incident in Covina, CA
The collision, involving five vehicles, was reported just before 5:50 a.m. at Hollenbeck Avenue and Cypress Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. Police later told Eyewitness News that the crash occurred when a husband chased his wife at high speed, eventually slamming into several vehicles. Aerial footage from AIR7 showed debris scattered across the roadway as firefighters responded, providing aid and transporting multiple people. Most of the vehicles sustained heavy damage, and one was left overturned.
Four people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and one person had to be rescued from a vehicle. The husband fled but was later found hiding nearby and taken into custody.
