San Diego County, California (San Diego, CA) – On April 19, 2023, at least one person sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard on Highway 163 in San Diego, CA.
The accident happened around 5:50 in the morning on the northbound highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles crashed into each other under unknown circumstances. After that, two more collisions happened.
One of the vehicles even burst into flames. No one sustained major injuries, but one person was rushed to a nearby hospital and another was treated at the scene. The cause of the crash is unclear, but CHP officer Jesse Matias said the car that caught fire was hit after being stopped for the initial crash.
