Sutter County, California (CA) – On Monday, November 6, 2023, two distinct fatal crashes were under investigation by the California Highway Patrol in the Yuba-Sutter area of Garden Highway near Barry Road in Sutter County, CA.
At around 2:30 a.m., according to CHP, they were contacted for a single-vehicle collision in which the car went off the road and struck a tree. When rescue workers arrived, they declared the driver deceased. When the 32-year-old man from Yuba City failed to show up for work, a relative went in search of him and discovered him. The individual was buckled up and there were no suspicions of drug or alcohol use during the collision.
Around 3:40 a.m., a second crash occurred in Yuba County, near Marysville Road, north of Everglade Trail. According to the CHP, Miguel Lopez, 19-year-old, was traveling south on Marysville Road when he ran into Oakland driver, 26-year-old, in an automobile accident. After the Oakland driver was declared deceased, Lopez suffered serious injuries and was sent to the hospital.
The cause of the collision is being investigated.
