Los Angeles County, California (CA) – On August 2, 2025, a five-vehicle collision resulted in at least one fatality in the Elysian Valley of Los Angeles County, CA.
Authorities said five people were involved in the crash, possibly caused by a driver going 70 mph in a 35-mph zone. A 30-year-old man, identified as Anthony Silverwood, died at the scene. A 69-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman were critically injured, while two 30-year-old men sustained minor injuries, the LAFD said.
Witnesses said the crash happened within seconds, while locals noted the street between Fletcher and Allesandro is often troubled by speeding and collisions.
