Madera County, California (CA) – On January 18, 2024, the victim who was killed in a six-car collision has already been identified in Madera County, CA.
Antonio Alcantara, a 24-year-old, was identified as the victim in the horrific incident. The family of the father of two who died have a GoFundMe account to cover his burial and to assist his young children. According to investigators, a white Freightliner truck filled with bundles of wooden tree pegs was driving south on Road 9 when it collided with HWY 152.
Before entering the intersection in reduced visibility, the truck came to a stop sign. It was the first time the vehicle had been hit by an incoming BMW 325. The westbound BMW was driving in the first lane at high speed when it collided with the semi-truck’s left-rear trailer.
The wood tree stakes fell onto the road, and Antonio Alcantara’s 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander collided with the debris. The incident forced the Mitsubishi driver to lose control, resulting in injuries. Unfortunately, the injuries led to his death.
