Riverside County, California (Riverside, CA) – On March 29, 2026, a deadly multi-vehicle crash left two babies and two adults trapped inside a wrecked vehicle in Riverside, CA.
The collision happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on the northbound 215 Freeway near Eucalyptus Avenue. Authorities shut down all northbound lanes following the crash. Emergency crews used the jaws of life to free the trapped family from the damaged car. A dog was also inside one of the vehicles involved.
Several passing drivers stopped to help before first responders arrived. One bystander helped keep the dog safe, while others tried unsuccessfully to force open the vehicle’s doors and reach the children inside. All four family members were taken to the hospital. Authorities confirmed that one person died in the crash, but it was not immediately known whether the victim was an adult or a child.
Northbound lanes remained closed for the investigation.
