San Diego County, California (Fallbrook, CA) – On April 23, 2023, southbound lanes of I-15 in North County were closed Sunday due to a multi-vehicle crash that killed two people, including a baby, and wounded four others in Fallbrook, CA.
The collision was reported to officials at about 3:15 p.m., south of Mission Road and north of State Route 76 on I-15. The incident included three vehicles, two of which were severely damaged. According to California Highway Patrol files, one car had been flipped. An adult and a baby were killed, according to North County Fire Protection Captain John Choi. There aren’t any details yet on the two’s age, gender, relationship, or the car they were in. All of the people who were injured in the incident have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
The man with significant injuries is uncertain. As approximately 5:28 p.m., the California Highway Patrol has reduced the roadway to one lane. According to Choi, the road will be closed for a few hours as personnel clean up the wreck. Motorists on the I-15 southbound are advised to enter on the side of SR-76 or skip the area entirely.
The CHP is presently investigating the accident’s cause.
