Orange County, California (Buena Park, CA) – On November 20, 2023, driver died in a severe rollover collision involving two vehicles, injuring other people in Buena Park, CA.
At around 11:45 p.m., a field of debris spread over the junction after the collision on La Palma and Knott avenues. The driver of a black Mercedes that was allegedly stolen led police on a short pursuit that began close to Beach Boulevard and La Palma Avenue, according to authorities. After traveling for approximately 300 feet, the suspect struck a white Mercedes outside of a car wash. The white Mercedes engine was torn off by the impact of the collision, separating it from the remainder of the vehicle by about thirty yards.
All four occupants of the car—two adults and two children—were sent to the hospital. The 24-year-old driver of the pursuit vehicle died at the scene. The vehicle’s passenger was also transported to the hospital. The black Mercedes was able to spot another victim—an innocent bystander riding a bicycle. With injuries, that person was brought to the hospital.
The condition of the patients in the hospital is unknown. Officers were not hurt. Until the investigation is finished, the car wash will stay closed.
