Orange County, California (Santa Ana, CA) – On April 2, 2023, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on West Saint Gertrude Place in Santa Ana, CA.
Two pedestrians were hit by an SUV just after 2:00 a.m. at 500 West Saint Gertrude Place as they stood next to a car, as per the Santa Ana Police Department. The SUV’s operator struck the victims and then sped away.
Authorities on the scene discovered pedestrians on the street and took both of them immediately to the hospital. Unfortunately, one of the sufferers passed away and was pronounced dead. The second victim’s scenario was not immediately known.
