Update (11/6/2019 at 12:47 PM) – Names Released
Oregon State police released the names of the those involved in the crash that occurred Tuesday November 5th, 2019.
Preliminary Investigation revealed that 2000 gold Ford Explorer driven by Enrique Hames (25) of Argentina, was northbound on Kershaw Rd. when he failed to stop at the stop sign onto Hwy 140. The Ford drove into the path of an eastbound 2005 Fleetwood Motorhome driven by William Silva (41) of Grants Pass.
The driver of the Explorer, Hames was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Silva, the driver of the motohome was transported with minor injuries.
There were two passengers in the Explorer, Nicole Rossi (24) of Argentina who was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and Cristina Hernandez Selles (26) of Spain sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Update (11//2019 at 7:00 AM)
A woman died in the multi-vehicle car accident where Kershaw Rd intersects Highway 140 outside of White City Oregon.
A preliminary investigation shows a Gold Ford Explorer went through the intersection without stopping at the stop sign or flashing lights and came into the path of the motorhome traveling eastbound on HWY 140.
The Explorer rolled due to the impact with the motorhome, ejecting a female passenger, who was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts were made. The name of the women has yet to be released pending notification of next of kin.
An occupant of the motorhome was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
This intersection is known to be dangerous and has been the scene of several fatal accidents in the past few years. Oregon Department of Transportation (ODT) has plans to create a traffic circle at the intersection in the coming years.

Jackson County, Oregon (White City, OR) – The vehicles in the fatal accident on HWY 140 and Kershaw have been reported as a Gold Ford Explorer with California plates versus a white motorhome.

Jackson County, Oregon (White City, OR) – Hwy 140 was closed due to a traffic accident involving an RV and what appears to be an SUV at the intersection of Kershaw. According to radio traffic from the scene it appears at least one person passed away from the accident and several sent to local hospitals.

Jackson County, Oregon (White City, OR) – A serious traffic collision has occurred at Highway 140 and Kershaw road today November 5th, 2019. This intersection is a hot spot for accidents with several fatal accidents happening at this intersection in the past few years.
While details surrounding the accident are still forthcoming it appears that a vehicle and RV have collided causing the vehicle to end up on its side. One person was reported trapped and another on CPR was being administered to. More information will be forthcoming as it is received.

An intersection like Kershaw and HWY 140 has been the topic of much discussion for years in the Rogue Valley with many fatal accidents occurring at this intersection with little action being taken to prevent accidents like these.
