West Salem (Hwy 22 Pok County) – A Keizer Oregon man suffered serious injuries when he was riding his motorcycle on Highway 22 near West Salem when a van backed into his path.
Around 1:45PM on August 24th, 2019 a gray Honda van exited a driveway into the path of a motorcyclist heading northbound on HWY 22 near milepost 24. The driver of the motorcycle, Issac Esparza (20) of Keizer sustained serious injured and was transported to Salem Hospital.
The van driver, Zeo Serran (25) of Salem did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Commentary
Watching out for motorcyclists is very important, they can often be hard to see. It seems as though the driver of the van was at fault in the accident with the current facts. In most cases a motorcycle accident results in severe and life altering injuries. We hope Issac Esparza gets the medical care he needs.
